IMHO...the Ruger is a fine rimfire pistol, but I prefer the Browning Buckmark over it for a couple reasons. I personally think the Buckmark is easier to clean and maintain, slightly better accuracy... (at least with mine)...and the stock trigger is lighter & smoother.

WebThe Mk II has an excellent trigger, but breaking it down is notoriously sucky. The SW has a slighlty heavier (3.5 lb.) trigger, but it breaks beautifully and is cake to take apart: literally just one nut removed from under the frame and the whole thing comes into workable pieces. I personally don't think it is a good idea to shoot the alloy framed BuckMark without a buffer. My guess is that it will go quite a while, without a buffer, before it starts showing the abuse.
